The Making of a FOYA Winning Facility
Selected as the 2021 Facility of the Year Awards Winner for Special Recognition for Operational Agility: COVID-19 Impact, Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing (GRAM) accelerated facility readiness timelines to manufacture a COVID-19 vaccine that would save lives around the world. Using the design-build method with architectural, engineering, and construction partner CRB, the teams were ready to overcome barriers and prepare the facility for production six weeks ahead of schedule.
As industry demand for pharmaceutical manufacturing space skyrocketed during the pandemic, GRAM invested in additional cGMP facility expansions, including adding on to their FOYA winning facility. CRB and GRAM jumped back into action constructing state-of-the-art facilities that support clinical and commercial sterile injectable drug products.
