2022 GRAM Giving

We would like to honor the GRAM team for giving their time and financial contributions to help those in our local community. We applaud all of their contributions and Volunteer Time Off used to impact the lives of many. Here are some examples of this year’s GRAM Giving.

Children’s Healing Center

  • Collected supplies for their annual Easter Egg Hunt.
  • Participated in the Wear Green Challenge on World Mental Health Day and created the Chain of Support to represent breaking the bonds of isolation and loneliness that CHC kids and families face because of medical complexities.

Grand Rapids Housing Commission

  • Collected wish list items for donations that support the Hope Community Rapid Re‑Housing Program dedicated to meeting the housing needs of single-parent families experiencing homelessness.

Amyway Riverbank Run

  • Built a Spirit Station for race participants. GRAM won 2nd place in the spirit competition, which resulted in a monetary donation to Family Promise.

Family Promise

  • Rehabilitated manufactured homes to make them safe and beautiful places for homeless families to call home and to keep the family together in a time of crisis.

Run Thru The Rapids

  • Signs were placed in front of GRAM’s downtown facilities along the Run Thru The Rapids race route to support and encourage runners.

Kids Food Basket

  • Groups decorated lunch bags and packed sack suppers to ensure all children have access to nourishing, healthy food—and that West Michigan has access to a nourishing, healthy future.

Ben’s Big Art Box

  • Collected and donated brand-new art supplies and craft kits for children in treatment at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
  • Art gives the kids something they can control in a world that was very much out of control.

Friends of GR Parks

  • In alignment with GoBeyond’s environmental focus, GRAM adopted Clemente Park to positively contribute to the area around the Godfrey facility.
  • Park clean-ups improve the accessibility, environmental impact, and aesthetics of parks and green spaces in the community.

Equest Center

  • GRAM donated vaccines for 20 therapy horses at the Equest Center in honor of Emily Hougland Baker.
  • Groups have gone on to use VTO to help the Equest Center with complete projects.

GR.1K Race to End Duchennne

  • As the title sponsor GRAM supported the event with a monetary sponsorship donation and participated in the event with 40+ team members.

GRAM GoBeyond

Blood Drives

  • GRAM’s 2022  quarterly drives impacted 360 lives!

Adopt-A-Family

  • GRAM is proud to provide cheer to local families nominated by GRAM staff in need of assistance over the holidays.
  • This year, GRAM is collecting gifts for six families and delivering the gifts before Christmas.
  • Eight parents and twelve children will receive gifts thanks to the GRAM team’s generosity.
